The birthrate for teens hit a record low in 2015, dropping 8%. The previous year’s birthrate of 24.2 births per 1000 teen girls aged 15 to 19 fell to 22.3 births. This data is based on birth certificate data.According to an article published in Reuters, authors of the study were “astounded” by this number, which the mainstream media is now interpreting (and pitching) as a success.
